Peri Onipede

Peri is the Director of Major Gifts for the College of Social Sciences and Humanities at Northeastern University. She works closely with the Dean of the College, senior faculty and development colleagues to increase for general and specific educational programs. She began her professional career as a corporate banker in Boston, originating and structuring corporate lending and finance transactions for a wide range of local and mulinational companies. She built and managed a specialty-lending portfolio of risk assets in excess of $1 billion with a team of lenders covering targeted high technology companies from New England to California. During her banking career, she traveled extensively through Africa, Turkey, Europe and Latin America. Peri started her fundraising career at Harvard University as Assistant Director for Interfaculty Initiatives. She also served as the Director of Development and Alumni Relations for the College of General Studies at Boston University.

Peri is an honorary lifetime overseer at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and a member of the Visiting Committee of the Textiles and Fashion Arts Department at the museum. She served on the Board of Trustees at Bentley University and on the boards of other non-profit organizations, including The Food Project, Boston Ballet, Huntington Theatre Company and the Institute for Contemporary Art. Peri is the founding Chair of The Women of the Harvard Club. She is past president of the local alumni chapter of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD).

Originally from Nigeria, Peri received her BS in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University and her MBA from the IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
